Allison Bourquin O’Reilly is a musician based on the East End of Long Island.

She holds a Bachelor of Music with a double major in Flute Performance and Music Business from the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam where she studied with Kenneth B. Andrews. She has performed with The Orchestra of Northern New York, Northern Symphonic Winds, Crane Symphony Orchestra, Crane Wind Ensemble, Crane Opera Orchestra, Sound Symphony Orchestra, New Inlet Chamber Orchestra, Adelphi Symphony Orchestra and Atlantic Wind Symphony, among others.

She performs regularly at Christ Episcopal Church in Sag Harbor, NY where she has also given two solo recitals, premiering flute sonatas written by composer Dr. Daniel Koontz.

In addition to performing and teaching, Allison also writes and records music. Her work can be heard on the Southampton Press podcast, 27Speaks, for which she wrote, performed and recorded interlude music.

As a private teacher, Allison works with students of all ages and ability levels, from beginner students to those pursuing admission to collegiate music programs. She believes that a teacher must inspire, nurture and challenge students to meet their individual goals. She is always happy to welcome dedicated and enthusiastic new students into her studio.

Ms. Bourquin O’Reilly is an alumna of the New York State Summer School of the Arts, School of Orchestral Studies where she studied with members of the Philadelphia Orchestra. She has performed in masterclasses for Julius Baker, Jeanne Baxtresser, Linda Chesis, Keith Underwood, Loren Lind, Carol Wincenc and Judith Mendenhall and has previously studied with Dr. Jennifer Haley. Allison is a member of the National Flute Association and plays on a Miyazawa flute and a custom banded oak wood Weissman piccolo.

Passionate about her alma mater, she is an active member of the Crane School of Music Alumni Board where she sits on the Alumni Network Committee. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, cooking, dining, yoga and spending time with friends and family. Ms. Bourquin O'Reilly resides in Eastport, NY with her husband, journalist Brendan J. O'Reilly, and cat Bingo.
